To the North, a filter that protects an interior garden

Le NAMOC s’inscrit dans l’espace comme un fragment d’idéogramme qu’un artiste aurait longuement travaillé pour lui donner tout à la fois cette impression de maîtrise et de volontaire inachèvement : il s’impose en se décollant du sol, il s’inscrit dans le ciel. Ce faisant il acquiert une particulière résistance aux lois de la pesanteur tout en affirmant sa présence.
The NAMOC is written in space as a fragment of an ideogram shaped by an artist over a long period of time, giving it both a sense of mastery and voluntary incompleteness: by taking off the ground it imposes itself into the sky. It thus resists the laws of gravity while asserting its presence.
国家美术馆，仿佛一位艺术家在长久酝酿后所运之一笔，给人的印象即大气磅礴，又遒劲洒脱：它扎根大地，但不失升腾之势；它和天空交界，又似融入其中。它在强调自身存在的同时，获得了一种特别的与重力相抗衡的上升感。

Des horizons montagneux, des reflets d’arbre sur des rochers, des reflets de ciel sur le ciel, des rochers verts et des arbres verts, des branches derrière des grilles de pierre, des promeneurs disparaissent derrière des rochers, on devine des œuvres d’art au milieu d’un rai lumineux, des images colorées illuminent une anfractuosité grise, des lichens jaune soufre sur une pierre gris argenté.
Mountainous horizons, reflections of the trees on the boulders, reflections of the sky on the sky, green rocks and green trees, branches behind stone grates, people strolling disappearing behind the boulders, we can make out works of art in the middle of a luminous ray of light, colorful images illuminate grey cracks and crevices, yellow lichens suffer on the grey silver plated stone.

The summer hall overhung with a gold ceiling
美术馆夏季大厅金色的天花板

Le hall d’été est surplombé par un plafond or, inspirée des grandes toitures et des plafonds peints traditionnels que l’on perçoit de loin. Ce plafond d’or peint, gravé, propose une vision théorique séquentielle de l’histoire de l’art et de la culture chinoise depuis le XVème siècle jusqu’à nos jours ainsi que des siècles à venir… Des images d’œuvres majeures ou emblématiques des différentes périodes et influences, composent un panorama de la peinture et de la culture chinoise. Les contenus seront établis avec les plus éminents spécialistes chinois et internationaux.
The summer hall is overhung with a gold ceiling, inspired by the great roofs and traditional painted ceilings that can be made out from afar. This carved, gold-painted ceiling offers a sequential theoretical view of the history of Chinese art and culture from the fifteenth century up to the current day, as well as of the centuries to come... Images of major or emblematic works belonging to different periods and influences form a panorama of Chinese painting and culture. The contents will be decided in consultation with the most eminent Chinese and international specialists.
一个巨大的金色彩绘天花 悬浮在夏季大厅之上，远远望去，就已经使人联想到传统大屋顶之下的天花彩绘。 这个金色彩绘天花是建筑形态不可或缺的一部分，它依照时间顺序展现出自15世纪至今乃至未来中国绘画史的理论影像……代表各个历史时期并产生重要影响的作品共同构成一幅中国文化的光辉画卷，我们将与相关专家共同寻求组织这些绘画作品的规律。
