Harrow Square is a new mixed-use development adjacent to Harrow on the Hill Station in outer London, providing 318 apartments, a public library, retail, and a new public square. Developed as part of a joint venture between Hyde New Homes and Barratt London, the project includes the tallest building in the London Borough of Harrow and sets a benchmark for high-quality contemporary design. The design maximizes the potential of its location near a major transport interchange, linking rail, underground, and bus networks, with new retail facilities and minimal parking.

Harrow Square is set around the first new civic space to be created in Harrow in many years. This new contribution to the public realm will be a dynamic and highly animated environment. Offering access to the new library, an existing church, four new residential blocks, and associated retail spaces, the new square has pedestrian entrances from three locations, with public art and a covered area adding to the mix of activities. From the outset, both the borough and the church were highly supportive of the development of a civic space that could provide a new face for Harrow and capture some of the character of a traditional urban square. The new library and the opportunity to reconfigure the church by creating a new public entry opening on to the square, allow this vision to be fully realized.

The buildings that frame the new public space are of the highest quality, with clean lines that have a clarity in expression that articulates their versatility. The project redefines Harrow's skyline, while also mediating between the scale of the new development and the predominant Edwardian urban grain. Among the residential amenities are shared roof terraces, offering views in all directions and framing views of St. Mary’s Church, one of Harrow’s most notable landmarks.
